But it will not check the public timeline from time to time or searches for a special keyword like some other bots. twitter friend friend collector will launch with following it's developers twitter profile and after that it will follow his follows and then this follows etc...
This should generate a huge number of followings to the bots account. How much followers this bot will get could be interesting too.

Will this thing spam around?

No, it will not spam as some other bots or this twitter accounts bound to RSS-Feeds.
All tweets by the twitter friend friend collector will be statistics, posted in a 4 hour rhythm (if there is no problem)
Statistic will include the follows this thing has created, the count of followers which follow tffc and the queue length.
The queue is a list of user which will be followed in the next scriptrun.

When did the bot launched?

It launched at 00:01 (CET) on Monday the 19th January.

When will it end?

After launch it will run for a day at first in a 1 hour rhythm.
Actually it ran for 20 hours and added round about 900 people (automatically), after this 20 hours the account got suspended, 4 hours before it would finish his job.

Why?

This thing has been created by using the Twitter API and the developer just wants to know how it works and what you can do with it.

Who is responsible for this?

The developer of all this bot is C. Beloch (twitter profile), he is a webdeveloper and coded this bot in PHP.
As it's PHP it's not really a bot, but more a script. If it wouldn't run into timeouts it would be a real bot.
